Today, the European Commission published its “Liste des points prévus pour figurer à l’ordre du jour des prochaines réunions de la Commission”. The document lists a Consumer package as a possible item for the 11 November 2026 College meeting. The Digital Fairness Act and a Consumer enforcement initiative fall within the Consumer package.
Since the DFA is in the document, this means that the Commission plans to bring the legislation to the College on that day. The DFA would therefore be expected to be discussed and possibly adopted, in which case it would then be publicly presented. If adopted, this would formally kickstart the legislative process.
It should be noted that this date is not final; it is indicative. The date of the meeting is yet to be confirmed, and the schedule can be changed by the President.
